Volunteer

The Circle of Friends Volunteer Committee is dedicated to coordinating volunteer opportunities that will benefit the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital.

These opportunities will be run by Circle of Friends members and will benefit the children and the amazing staff at Packard. We have four ongoing volunteer programs and also organize other small events throughout the year. Below is a description of our ongoing volunteer programs.

Reach out and Read Program: Circle of Friends members who participate in this program can sign up to go as many times as they would like to read to the children waiting for appointments at the hospital clinics on Welch Road. This is an amazing opportunity to interact with some of the kids being treated by Packard.

Candy Jar Program: In appreciation for all the staff of the outpatient clinics at Packard, Circle of Friends has placed 7 candy jars located throughout the clinics. Each month we would like 2 volunteers to fill the jars with candy.

Jake the Musician at Packard: Each month Jake the musician performs for the children at Packard. Circle of Friends accompanies him at his performances and helps pass out stickers and prizes to the children. This is a great chance to be in the hospital and interact with some of the amazing kids at Packard.
